Soon writing your name in popular places showed that you got around and led to people writing their names everywhere, in hallways, in school on desks, and on buses. There had to be something more daring, more challenging and more impressive. What if I could paint on the side of the trains like many of the other writers? This feat would set me apart from others as being a greater artist. As I conquered the underworld with advanced strategies, I would often be found lurking into the purple hazes of New York's depths into the wee hours of the morning looking to find myself and my purpose in life. The writers who entered into this elite fraternity did so for the smell of the aerosol, the test of their skills, the passion for excitement and the thrill of the chase, the adrenaline rush is so indescribable, like any other sport, you have to experience it. I found this as a sport in the sense that it felt somewhat like a cat and mouse game sometimes, but it wasn't, it was a challenge
Depending on which part of the city you came from decided on what type of writing style that you would take up and soon after master. If you were from Manhattan then of course you would write your street number with your name and that was their claim to fame. The Broadway style artist often was found at the Writers Corner at 188 St in Manhattan. If you were from the Bronx then you would be throwing down with the top to bottoms and the famous bubble style. Brooklyn writers were known for their original wildstyle and massive top to bottoms on the BMTS we got up and stayed there.
